What happens when a trailer tire blows
A trailer tire loses air or runs hot for miles before it lets go, and you can’t see it from the cab. Catch it early and it never blows.

The trailer starts to sway
At highway speed a blowout can pull the trailer, and your truck, side to side.

A new tire is $206.99
One Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 at SimpleTire, plus the fender it tears up.

A tow starts at $100
$100 to hook up an RV plus $4–8 a mile (USA Tow Finder). The trip waits.
Set up in the driveway

1. Screw on the sensors
One on each valve stem, by hand. No tire shop.

2. Set your pressures
Tell the monitor what’s normal for your truck and trailer.

3. Hit the road
Set the monitor on the dash and drive like you always do.

4. Listen for the beep
If a tire changes, the monitor beeps and shows which one.
How it works
-
1
A sensor on every valve
Each sensor screws onto a valve stem and reads that tire’s pressure and temperature.
-
2
Straight to your cab
Readings go by radio to the monitor on your dash. No phone, no app, no Wi-Fi.
-
3
A beep, and which tire
If a tire loses air or runs hot, the monitor beeps and shows you which one, while it’s still a quick stop.

Who’s behind this
Hi, I’m Bo
I’m Bodie McCoy — Bo to just about everybody. I’m 56, I live in Texas, and I’ve always been a pickup and RV guy.
Here’s how it works: I find a piece of gear that solves a real problem, build my own better version in my garage, run it on my own rigs, then pack it and ship it myself.

FAQ
Questions about the TPMS
Still not sure? Send Bo a message and he will tell you straight.
Which kit do I need?
Count every tire you want to watch on the truck and the trailer, then take the kit that covers that number. The kit finder above counts it for you.
Do I need a repeater for a long rig?
On a long rig the back tires sit a long way from the cab. That’s why the 8, 10 and 12-wheel kits come with a signal repeater. The 4 and 6-wheel kits don’t have one, so they’re the pick for a truck on its own, a trailer on its own or a short rig.
What pressure does it read, and how far does the signal reach?
The 4 and 6-wheel kits use a different monitor than the 8, 10 and 12-wheel kits, so the numbers aren’t the same. Both are made for everyday pickup, RV and trailer tires. Running high-pressure commercial tires or a very long rig? Message me before you order and I’ll tell you straight.
What powers the sensors?
Each sensor runs on its own small battery. The monitor is the part you charge, from its solar panel or a USB cable.
Do I need a phone or an app?
No. The sensors talk straight to the monitor on your dash.
When does it beep?
When a tire’s pressure goes too low or too high, or when a tire runs hot. The screen shows which tire.
Will the sensors fit my valve stems?
They screw onto standard valve stems the same way a valve cap does. Not sure about yours? Send me a photo.
What if it’s not for me?
